For school children aged 4 and above
The Little Notes Music Club is for school aged children. Thirty minutes every week of after-school musical adventure. Experience the wonderful world of music through fun games and song. In the first year (usually year R) we begin our journey into reading music, but only through a teaching system that feels just like play. By Year One, we're ready to explore recorders in a fresh way, using Lou's new recording teaching method, and carry on down the road of building vocal confidence and developing our listening skills as children are encouraged to listen well to a broad range of musical styles and instruments. The Little Notes Music Club is a firm foundation for future musical training, whatever instrument your child may choose to play. Once children are in Year 2 and beyond, we have a diverse range of activities on offer, including recorder lessons and ensembles for more advanced players and choir events for those that really enjoy their singing. It may also be possible to arrange individual lessons with Mark (voice) or Lou (recorder) for older children and adults.
